Dudley

This is an area that contains a number of tourist sites, including the picture posted here – Dudley Castle.  It is a place with great history and great potential.

The local council is making plans leading up to 2026 to ensure that the area becomes even more a place of business and economic growth.

This is an area undergoing a lot of development currently.  It is next door to Birmingham which makes it very accessible to people who live and work in the second largest city in the UK.  It is part of the Sandwell area.

Wolverhampton

Another area committed to development and regeneration.  With over 200,000 people living there, there is potential to house a good number of these people.  The area is engineering focused, so there is a big range of professionals who need housing in the area.  It is also service centred.  There is a wide range of opportunity in this area, from students to workers and families.

The above is just a selection of the areas within the Black Country.  This should give you an idea of the huge investment opportunity in this area.

As well, as the opportunity already available, the Black country as a whole have joined together to produce the following policies leading up to the year 2026.

The Future of the Black Country

By 2026, the intention is to build strategic Centres in the following parts of the Black Country -

  • Brierley Hill, part of Dudley
  • Walsall
  • West Bromwich
  • Wolverhampton

Being a strategic centre means that the following will happen

  1. Additional 345,000 square metres gross comparison retail floorspace and additional 880,000 square metres gross office floorspaceThis of course means more jobs for residents.
  2. Major new leisure and cultural facilitiesAgain, this will lead to more jobs and economic growth in the area.  More workers relocating to the area needing more housing.
  3. 7,500 new homes of mixed type and tenureAn opportunity exists to buy these new properties and use them as a source of steady income.   Obviously, this also shows current need levels so buying presently available property will mean you are in at the start of a growing region.
  4. Excellent public transport links, making the centres highly accessibleThe tenants we cater to, will need to get to their places of employment easily and this will ensure that they can do so.
  5. Significantly improved built and green environments integrated into the development of centresMaking it a more attractive place to live.
